Text Box: Bridging the gap for individuals and families.

Suzanne C. Siman, MACC, LPC practices independently within CCCBI.  The  Carolina Center for Counseling encompasses the values of excellence and professionalism that are important to me.  Over the past 12 years I have worked closely with children and families.  These experiences along with my educational experiences have reinforced a high standard of care.  I received a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I enjoy working with children and families with diverse needs through group and individual sessions.  Groups sessions may include emotional/ anger management, social skills, and coping skills.  In addition, I feel the family involvement is integral to the success of the child and strive to assist the family in developing knowledge and skills to reach their potential.  I enjoy working with all age groups, My areas of interests include difficulties related to adoption, attachment, trauma, aggression, ADHD, Asperger’s, anxiety, depression, and  Autism Spectrum Disorders.

I work extensively with individuals on the Autism Spectrum.   I provide, individual, group and family counseling for these children.  In addition, I provide counseling for family members of children, teens and young  adults on the spectrum.  I am the first professional in South Carolina to  complete the Social Thinking® Clinical Training (Level 1 Assessment) at Social Think Boston.  I utilize these strategies along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques in my individual, group and family sessions.  I am very passionate about helping individuals maximize their potential and learn to utilize their strengths to thrive in their lives.
